The standee sits on the registration table. A code, a logo, and the words “SCAN ME.”
Guests walk past. Nobody knows if it opens a form, a donation page or a video. Nobody scans.
QR standee line English APAC is the short line printed beside a QR code that tells people what they get when they scan, in about six words.
Street-smart APAC English: short sentences a tired operator can say out loud.
It does the same job as our petition share caption English APAC: one line that earns one action. On a phone screen, the story sticker CTA English APAC does it for a tap.
What goes in a QR standee line English APAC?
A verb, the thing they get, and how long it takes. About six words.
Standee line (illustrative):
“Scan to sign the drainage petition.”
“One minute. No app needed.”
The first line says what happens. The second removes the doubt. Only print “no app needed” if you have tested it.

Why does “Scan me” fail?
Because it says what to do but not why. A scan is a small risk, and people want to know where it leads.
| Kill this | Say this (illustrative) | Why |
|---|---|---|
| SCAN ME | Scan to sign the drainage petition. | Says what you get |
| Scan for more info | Scan for tonight’s programme. | A specific thing |
| Connect with us! | Scan to join the volunteer list. | One action |
| Scan to win! | Scan to RSVP for Saturday. | No prize unless one exists |
| A code with no words at all | Scan, or type the short address below. | A fallback for non-scanners |

How do you test the line before printing?
Print one, stand it where it will go, and step back. If a passer-by cannot say what the scan does, rewrite the line.
Test the code too: scan it on two different phones, on mobile data, in the room’s light. Check the page loads fast and matches the line. If the line says “petition,” the scan lands on the petition, not the home page.
Then ask a volunteer who has not seen the page to read the line and say what they expect before they scan. If the page does not match what they said, change the line or the page.
What should sit under the code?
The organisation name and a short web address people can type. Some people will not scan, and that is their call.
Never put a code on a standee without saying whose it is. People are right to be careful with codes from unknown sources. The landing page should show the same name at the top.
How does this play out in PH and SG?
Same six words. Different scanning habits.
Philippines desk. Codes are familiar from payments and forms, so people know how to scan, and many are wary of scams. Name the organisation on the standee and write the line in the language of the crowd, with English on the second line if needed.
Singapore and wider APAC desk. Scanning is routine, and so are warnings about fake codes. Put the organisation name and short web address right under the code, and make sure the landing page matches.

FAQs
What is QR standee line English APAC?
QR standee line English APAC is the short line printed beside a QR code that tells people what they get when they scan, in about six words. It works because people scan when they know where it leads. It does not replace testing the code.
Should one code do everything?
No. One code, one action, one line. A code that opens a menu loses people.
Can we track scans?
Only with tools and wording counsel has approved under your consent rules. Do not add tracking you cannot explain on the landing page.
How big should the line be?
Big enough to read from where people actually stand. Test it in the room, not on a screen.
