OG Card English APAC: OG Card English APAC.
OG Card English APAC.

A share preview is not decoration. It is the sentence a group chat shows when someone forwards your Insights URL.

Most APAC advocacy pages fail that sentence. The og:title is a slogan. The og:description is a paragraph nobody asked for. The image is a leftover stock crop. Three rooms, three arguments. The chat treats that as a link that does not know what it is.

OG card English APAC desks can paste is one lock: a title that starts with the claim, a description that names the object, and a length a phone preview can finish.

This is the language companion to our title-tag English APAC lock, which sets the H1, title and meta spine, and to our GEO content engine playbook, which argues that pages must be machine-quotable. This piece gives you the words for the card that lands in WhatsApp, Viber and email clients.

Street-smart APAC English: short sentences a tired operator can say out loud. This is not legal advice.

Why do share previews die on advocacy sites?

Because the CMS copies the SEO title into og:title and calls it done.

SEO titles and OG titles are cousins. They are not twins. A search result sits next to other blue links. A share preview sits next to a cousin’s baby photo and a bill reminder. The claim must land faster.

Budget week, haze week, and mandate clocks all produce the same failure: brand first, claim second. “Neuwark Communications | Insights” is a folder label. It is not a chat pitch.

The night desk then pads og:description with mission language. Mission language is wallpaper in a scroll.

OG Card card: One claim in under 12 words for og:title, place only if the query or audience…, og:description 110 to 160 characters….
Say this: One claim in under 12 words for og:title, place only if the query or audience…, og:description 110 to 160 characters….

What is the share preview lock before anyone hits publish?

Two fields and one image check. If either field is empty or vague, the page waits.

Field Kill this Say this
og:title “Neuwark · Insights · Strategy” Claim first, place if needed, short enough for a card
og:description 300 characters of mission mush One proof word and one object, about 110 to 160 characters
og:image A random stock crop The feature poster that matches the claim

Paste-ready lock (illustrative):

Kill this, say this panel: habits crossed out, replaced by one claim in under 12 words for og:title, place only if the query or audience…, og:description 110 to 160 characters….
Kill this: the habit lines.

og:title: OG card English APAC for share previews that survive the chat
og:description: Paste-ready title and description lines. One claim. One object. A length a phone preview can finish.

The og:title can match the SEO title when the SEO title already starts with the claim. It should not invent a second fight. og:description should not merely restate the title. It should name the object the reader will use tonight.

Why must the title survive truncation?

Because chat clients cut hard.

APAC forwarding is phone-first. Long titles get trimmed. If the claim sits after the pipe, the pipe is what they read.

Kill: “Neuwark Communications: OG Card English APAC for Night Desks.” Say: “OG Card English APAC: Title and Description That Survive.”

Brand can live after the pipe if there is room. Brand should not eat the claim.

What does a good og:description actually do?

It answers the forward test: would a tired organizer tap this instead of scrolling past?

A description that restates the title is wasted. A description that sells the agency is ignored. A description that names the object (the kill list, the holding line, the field card) gets the tap from the person who has to write that object tonight.

Kill: “We help progressive campaigns communicate with clarity across Asia.” Say: “Paste-ready OG title and description. One claim. One object. Built for the share preview.”

Proof words that travel: paste, lock, kill list, screenshot, night desk, field card, share preview.

How do OG card English APAC, title tags and NewsArticle share one spine?

Title tags win the blue link. NewsArticle fields feed Discover. OG cards win the chat.

They want the same claim. If the OG title is vague, the forward has nothing clean to show. If the OG description invents a different promise than the H1, you trained your audience to distrust the click.

Our Discover-grade NewsArticle publishing checklist covers the production rails. Our AI Overview source English covers citeable sentences. Use the same spine across title, card and source block.

Kill: “Everything you need to know about Open Graph in 2026.” Say: “OG card English APAC: title and description lines that survive a share preview.”

Do not invent platform policy clocks, ranking claims or GSC codes. Soft claims only from production discipline.

What do you check on a Monday scrape?

Open five live Insights URLs in a private window. Paste each into a notes app or a spare chat with yourself. Read the preview title and description, not the on-page H1.

If the preview title and the H1 argue, fix the OG title first when the page is meant to travel by forward. Humans meet the H1 after the tap. The chat meets the card first.

Then confirm the preview image is the feature poster, not a cropped inline. A mismatched image is a second argument.

Flat illustration, APAC crowd-flow diagram toward the exit: One claim in under 12 words for og:title, place only if the query or audience…, og:description 110 to 160 characters….
Desk note: Og:description 110 to 160 characters….

Monday field kit

  1. One claim in under 12 words for og:title.
  2. Place only if the query or audience needs it.
  3. og:description 110 to 160 characters with one proof word and one object.
  4. Feature image matches the claim.
  5. H1 cousins the OG title. It may add a subtitle. It may not change the fight.
  6. No brand-first OG titles except on homepage and contact.
  7. Test the preview in at least one chat client before you call the page shipped.

Paste-ready CMS comment:

OG lock: title starts with claim. Description names the object. Image matches. Ship or wait.

FAQs

What is OG card English APAC teams should lock?

A claim-first title and an object-naming description that survive a phone share preview. The H1, SEO title and OG title share the claim; they do not take turns inventing a new one.

Can og:title differ from the SEO title?

Yes when the SEO title is already claim-first and the OG title needs a shorter chat cut. No when the difference invents a second promise.

Do we put the agency name in every OG title?

Only when there is room after the claim. Brand after the pipe. Claim before it.

Should every Insights post get a custom OG description?

Yes when the post is meant to travel by forward. A missing og:description that falls back to a mushy excerpt is how good pages die in chat.

What to do this week

Pick five live Insights URLs. Forward each to yourself. Write the preview title and description in a two-column sheet. Mark every row where the claim changes or the description sells the agency. Fix those five before you draft a sixth post.
