At the fundraising dinner, the pledge cards filled a box. Two weeks later, the follow-up text says, “Kindly settle your outstanding pledge at your earliest convenience.”
Donors read it as a bill. A few stop replying.
Pledge reminder text English APAC is the short, gentle message after a promised gift: thanks, the pledge, the link you already have.
Street-smart APAC English: short sentences a tired operator can say out loud.
It comes after the pledge and before our donor receipt English APAC, which confirms what arrived. When the gift comes in, our donation thank-you English APAC says what it will do.
What goes in a pledge reminder text English APAC?
Three lines. Thanks, the pledge, the link they already have.
Pledge reminder text (illustrative):
“Thank you again for your pledge at Saturday’s dinner.”
“When you are ready, the amount you pledged can go through the link you already have.”
“Questions? Reply here and we will help.”
Thank first. Say “the amount you pledged”, not a figure. Point to the link they already have, not a new one.

Why keep it gentle?
Because a pledge is a promise, not an invoice. A donor who feels chased may still give, but may not pledge again. A gentle nudge assumes good faith: people forget, get busy, or wait for payday.
| Kill this | Say this (illustrative) | Why |
|---|---|---|
| Kindly settle your outstanding pledge. | Thank you again for your pledge. | Thanks, not a bill |
| Final reminder!!! | When you are ready, the amount you pledged can go through the link you already have. | Gentle, with the link |
| Please send proof ASAP. | Once it is in, we will send your receipt. | The next step is ours |
| Here’s a new link, use this instead! | Use the link you already have. | No new links, no confusion |
| We are counting on you po! | Questions? Reply here and we will help. | An open door, no guilt |

When should the reminder go out?
Once, about a week after the event, at a reasonable hour of the day. If there is no reply, one more gentle check-in later is enough. After that, update your list and stop.
Use the channel the donor already uses with you: SMS, Viber, WhatsApp or email. Never send reminders late at night or in a burst.
What if the donor changes their mind?
Thank them anyway and close the loop: “Thank you for letting us know. We are glad you were with us.” Mark the pledge as withdrawn and do not send another reminder.
A clean exit keeps the door open for the next promised gift.
How does this play out in PH and SG?
Same three lines. Different tables.
Philippines desk. Pledges at a barangay hall or parish dinner are often made in public, so a private, quiet reminder matters. Send it by SMS or Viber from the number the donor already knows, and keep the tone of a thank-you, not a collection notice.
Singapore and wider APAC desk. A corporate donor may need a document for their own approval process. Ask once what they need and send it from the finance contact. Keep the reminder short, and say nothing about tax treatment unless finance has confirmed it in writing.
