Press Kit English APAC.

A 40-page PDF is not a press kit.

Press kit English APAC is four fields a reporter can lift before the standup: who you are in one line, what this moment is, what they may quote, and who answers the phone. Everything else is optional.

Street-smart APAC English: short sentences a tired operator can say out loud.

This is a companion to our desk-ready pitch email English. That piece gets the story into a reporter’s inbox. This one writes the page they open when they need to get your name, your moment and your quote right.

Why do kits die in the downloads folder?

They open with history. They bury the quote. The contact is a web form. The logo pack is a ZIP named FINAL2.

A reporter on deadline has minutes, not an afternoon. They will write your one-liner themselves if you do not give them one. You will not like their version.

The fix is not a prettier PDF. It is four fields in plain text that a stranger can copy into a notes app.

Press Kit card: Write the four fields on a plain page…, put the same quote in the kit and the…, date the kit. Old kits become rumors.

What are the four press kit English APAC fields?

Field Kill this Say this (illustrative)
One-line identity “A leading full-service communications partner” “Campaign communications for political, public-interest, and advocacy work in the Philippines and Singapore.”
This moment A year-in-review One sentence: what happened, as verified
Quote they may use A 120-word statement Two short sentences. Name and role.
Desk “Contact us” Name, desk email, hours with the local zone written out

Paste-ready kit lines (illustrative)

Who: Neuwark Communications is a campaign communications firm for political, public-interest, and advocacy work, with a Manila HQ and a Singapore account office.
This moment: one verified sentence about what happened. No extra fight.
Quote: two short sentences a principal can stand behind tomorrow morning, with name and role.
Desk: hello@neuwarkcommunications.com, campaign hours, Manila time (PHT).

Swap every line for your own organisation’s cleared version. The “Who” line should match your About page word for word.

Do not invent a client win in the kit. Portfolio examples on our own site are labeled illustrative. Keep that kind of label wherever it applies.

What must the kit not do?

It must not brief a fight the principal has not approved.

It must not attach unpublished numbers.

It must not tell the reporter what headline to write. They will write the opposite out of principle.

How does the kit line up with your holding lines?

Same quote. Same identity line. Same numbers.

If the kit says one thing and the spokesperson’s holding lines say another, the reporter now has two quotes and a story about your confusion. Write the holding lines and the kit quote in the same sitting, from the same cleared text.

When the holding lines change, the kit changes the same hour. A kit that is two versions behind is how an old quote ends up in tomorrow’s paper.

Page or PDF?

Page first. PDF as a copy.

A page can be corrected at 1 a.m. A PDF that already went out cannot. Reporters also search. A page with the four fields in plain text is easier to find and easier to copy than a designed file.

Keep the page short enough to read on a phone. If a reporter has to zoom, they will guess.

What is the kill rule?

If a stranger cannot copy four fields into a notes app in one minute, it is not a kit. It is a brochure.

Incident line, for the desk log:

The kit that went to reporters had a line we cannot stand behind. We have replaced the kit page with the four cleared fields and asked desks to discard the old file.

Flat illustration, Manila shift timeline with three marked beats: Write the four fields on a plain page…, put the same quote in the kit and the…, date the kit. Old kits become rumors.
Desk note: Date the kit. Old kits become rumors.

Monday field kit

  1. Write the four fields on a plain page, not only in a PDF.
  2. Put the same quote in the kit and the holding lines.
  3. Date the kit. Old kits become rumors.
  4. Add one logo on a dark ground and one on light. Stop at two.
  5. Test: a colleague who does not own the account should be able to brief a reporter from the page alone.

FAQs

What is press kit English APAC?

Press kit English APAC is the four-field wording a reporter can lift without calling twice: identity, this moment, a quotable line, and a desk. It lives on a plain page first and in a PDF second.

PDF or page?

A page comes first and the PDF is a copy. The page is what you can correct at 1 a.m.

Do we localize for Singapore and Manila?

Keep the same four fields in each market, with the local zone written out. Add a local desk if you have one, and never ship two different identity lines.

Can a coalition share one kit?

A coalition can share one kit for a joint moment, as long as every partner signs the same four fields. Each partner’s own identity line stays on its own page, so the joint kit does not blur who said what.

What to do this week

Open your live contact and about pages. If a reporter cannot steal a one-line identity, write field one today. Then lock a quote that matches the current holding lines.

Neuwark Communications builds press operations and media materials under Media & Paid and Crisis & Rapid Response. See who we are on our About page. If your kit is still a ZIP named FINAL2, talk to us at Contact. More desks: Insights.

Communications craft, not legal advice. Check disclosure, copyright and image-rights rules with counsel in each market before a kit goes out.
